WXPN Musicians On Call is the non-profit partnership between WXPN and the successful New York-based Musicians On Call program. Each and every week, WXPN Musicians On Call brings live music to the bedsides of patients in three area healthcare facilities: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The program also provides CD Pharmacies (a collection of CDs and personal CD players) to long-term care units in a number of area hospitals in the region. Gently used CDs may be donated at the event for future CD Pharmacies.
