This Jersey/Philly five piece takes the stage with the confidence and swagger of seasoned professionals, and bring forth a thunderous sound that has become known by their fans as "power soul music!" The band thrives in the world of good song writing, big riffs, and blazing horns. Founded in 2001 by guitarist Michael Patriarca and saxophone extrodenaire Tom Long, they have been brining their high energy live show to legions of fans across the country for over five years. During that time they have shared the stage with the likes of Soulive, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Raq, John Legend, Benevento Russo Duo, Ween the Disco Biscuits, and Ozomatli. In 2005, Home Grown Music named The Blue Method "Best New Artist". They also were the winners Relix Magazines annual "Jam-Off" award. The Blue Method currently play over 150 dates a year, and are set to release their much anticipated second record in April of 2007.
