“The CiTY Music Project” is a collaboration between Producer/DJ Golden Spiral and Singer/Songwriter Frank Cervantes. Their self titled CD is the culmination of a friendship that goes back to high school, and a collaborative effort that began about three years ago in a studio in Old City Philadelphia. Their music is a multi-dimensional hybrid touching on a number of different styles ranging from reggae to progressive rock, to hip-hop, house, dub, trance, and dancehall among others. All of the music is written and performed by Frank and Adrian (Golden Spiral) using a combination of studio-based production hardware and software, live instruments, and vocals.
Golden Spiral is a Producer/DJ from South Jersey who moved to Philadelphia when he attended Temple University in 2002. He is a classically trained musician who studied violin and guitar since childhood, as well as a formally trained sound engineer. For years, he produced hip-hop music until about a year ago when he decided he was ready to move on and find out how far he could push the boundaries of his production and musical abilities. The City is a direct result of that desire.
Frank Cervantes is a singer songwriter from Moorestown, New Jersey. He performs as a solo artist and as front man for the indie/rock band The Once Was. His musical works have landed him on a countless amount of stages and a number of different studios, and have received much critical acclaim throughout the years.
