Join us for a day-long music festival presented by AAA to benefit the Light Up the Queen Foundation!

Fifty years ago, the lights went out and the doors closed on the majestic Queen Theatre in downtown Wilmington.

Today, the Light Up the Queen Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Queen is ready to rise up and reclaim her glory – but not without your help. In partnership with Philadelphia's World Cafe Live and public radio station WXPN, construction is now underway to reclaim the Queen as a spectacular music venue, restaurant, broadcast studio and event complex showcasing performers from across the spectrum of contemporary music. Now all we need is the funding to finish the job.

This fundraising festival will feature some of our nation's finest musicians, led by Wilmington's own legend David Bromberg and his Big Band, and will be broadcast live on Philadelphia-based radio station WXPN, 88.5 FM, home of the nationally-syndicated program "World Cafe."

The "Big Noise" festival is a celebration of local music luminary David Bromberg and all the styles of American music that his playing encompasses: folk, rock, bluegrass and blues to name just a few.

*$2 from each ticket sold will go toward earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, through:
The Benjamin H Josephson Fund (Haiti Relief)
Sending health care workers to assist in disaster relief efforts. The donations will be used to assist those already on the ground as well as to send additional health care workers to Haiti to aid in the ongoing struggle.
Art Creation Foundation For Children
Supporting former street children in Jacmel with food, education, health care and a safe, nurturing community.


No outside food or drinks allowed - there will be food and beverage vendors on site.
