Minas' 25th anniversary celebration in Philadelphia continues with the release of Bossa Nova Day!
Featuring core-members Orlando Haddad and Patricia King, Minas is one of the most established Brazilian music groups in the US today. With a few decades experience performing for American audiences, Minas creates an intimate and unforgettable musical tapestry that transports and inspires listeners. Drawing from Brazilian traditions of samba, bossa nova, baião, axé, as well as American jazz, blues, and folk, Orlando and Patricia's guitar, piano and voices mix north and south seamlessly.
Bossa Nova Day, the 7th recording project by Minas, and the first featuring just the Duo, will be released Downstairs with a live concert by Orlando & Patricia.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Grammy Award winner Glenn Barratt at Morning Star Studios, Bossa Nova Day features 10 new, fresh, and exciting songs penned by Haddad/King, in English and Portuguese. The consensus of industry personnel and fans alike is that this is Minas' best CD to date.
Orlando and Patricia will perform during a dinner set, then visit and sign autographs with friends and fans afterward. Bar will be open.
