The Rescues

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts- no band in recent history illustrates that notion better than The Rescues. Comprised of four successful and critically acclaimed solo singer-songwriters, The Rescues have played sold-out tours, appeared on Mountain Stage for broadcast on NPR, staged a string of sold-out concerts in their hometown of Los Angeles, had songs in films and on hit TV shows including 4 songs on Greyıs Anatomy this season alone. LA Weekly says ³Their voices take flight. Soaring and gorgeously.²

The Rescues began writing and recording their sophomore album "Let Loose The Horses" during their hugely successful January residency at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. The record is set to be released in Summer 09.

If you watch the tele maybe you've heard AM's tunes on HBO's "Big Love", MTV's "The Hills", or ABC's "Brothers and Sisters". The Tulsa-born and New Orleans-raised, singer-songwriter-guitarist brings a heady brew of twinkling Anglified folk-rock-pop, twanging Americana, caressing Philly soul and funky R&B whatchacallit -- and, best of all, joyously unheard points in-between. AM does all this with an acute, finessing ear for the ancient art of real, true songcraft. With, arguably, some of the best bridges and choruses in the bizness, drawing from the Beatles and Badfinger or Curtis Mayfield and Jorge Ben, AM demonstrates over and again the simple fact of songwriting life: that imagination and taste is what it's all about. AM's new album "Future Sons and Daughters" is due out on Filter US Recordings in September 2009.
