Credited by National Public Radio for bringing "new twists to the notion of melding jazz and pop tunes," artist Jacqui Naylor comes to World Cafe Live for a special holiday show. Having recently celebrated the release of her newest holiday recording, Smashed For The Holidays includes such traditional tracks as "Santa Baby" and "Silver Bells" mashed in with rock anthems such as Led Zeppelin's "Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama". Naylor has been hailed as reminiscent of the greats, as "Billie Holiday's inflections and a touch of June Christy" by the San Francisco Examiner.
