What I Did on Summer Vacation by Three Rocking Teachers!

Recess Monkey is made up of three elementary school teachers from Seattle who rock out in their classrooms as much as they do on stage! This summer Daron, Jack, and Drew are hitting the road with “Tabby Road,” their fourth CD (Release Date July 15th). Bill Childs of Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child says Tabby Road is, “a steady stream of perfect pop melodies (Little Rock Family March 26, 2008).” Their Beatlesque tunes and shenanigan-filled set will have kids of all ages bouncing, singing, and dancing!

Here’s what WXPN’s Kathy O’Connell had to say about Recess Monkey’s last CD, Wonderstuff, “A brilliant, multilayered concept album of stories and songs heavily influenced by '60s rock. If Brian Wilson had written for kids, he would have created "The Pool," a song of yearning for time to pass while waiting to jump back in the water after lunch.” (NPR’s Morning Edition, December 24, 2007)
