No longer beholden to the demands of label executives or hampered by artistic insecurity, Charlotte Martin has emerged as a strong, self-aware artist knowing what she wants from her life long creative experience as a musician, and what she needs to feed her muse. With experiences of the past propelling her forward, Charlotte began writing and recording Stromata. For the first time since the beginning of her career—from singing with her mom in the car at age 3, to directing show choirs at 14, to graduating from Eastern Illinois University with an opera degree at 21—she had a clear vision of what her music needed to be and how to make it.
Artist/producer Ken Andrews got his start in the early 90s as the singer/guitarist for the alt rock outfit Failure. After the band broke up, he went solo for a time with the electronic tinged ON. In 2003, he went back to his heavier guitar roots with a band called Year of the Rabbit. Throughout this time as an artist, he also produced and mixed for various artists including Pete Yorn, Tenacious D, BRMC, and MAE. His latest solo release is Secrets of the Lost Satellite.
