Merging beautiful music with meaningful lyrics Kaleidoscope Songs are focused on the internal life of a child. Like a Kaleidoscope, these songs take a look inside where we see all of the different thoughts and emotions that we share in common. Songs such as "I'm So Glad", "When I Cry", "Used to be a Baby", "Blue Sky Time" and "The Laugh-a-Lot Song" provide the language children (and adults) need to express themselves.
Philadelphia natives Alex Mitnick (music) and Alan Bell (lyrics) have received great reviews and national awards from the Parents' Choice Foundation, the Children's Music Web, the Adding Wisdom Award and the Film Advisory Board for their two releases to date ˆ Kaleidoscope Songs 1 & 2.
Alex & the Kaleidoscope Band offer lively and engaging shows that children and adults alike will enjoy. Alex‚s unique ability to connect with children combined with the bands refined musicianship and sensitivity make every Kaleidoscope concert unique. Adults and children come together through singing, dancing and participating in spontaneous and humorous improvisations with the band. Fathers will dance to ŒMy Dad!‚, Mothers will sway to "Mother", and we'll all laugh and sing about the wonders of life with The Tongue Song‚ Water Lilly‚ Together‚ and many more!
