A band of decidedly welcome contradictions, The Rigbees write songs with the lyrical sensibility and introspective depth of 70�s folk, but deliver them with the guitar-driven energy and melodic punch of the first wave of American indie/alternative bands. Think For Everyman-era Jackson Browne colliding with Document-vintage R.E.M., with touches of The Jayhawks, Tom Petty and Counting Crows. The Rigbees are celebrating the release of their sophomore CD �Treading Water in an Angry Ocean.�
