Bio: Gretchen Elise presents her signature blend of jazz, neo-soul, Caribbean, Brazilian, European dance music and hip hop at the Time & Space CD and Fashion Launch. Her sophomore CD of original music is grounded in solid Philly jazz and soul roots, covering topics personal and political, but is flavored by her eclectic life experience growing up and later working with youth in 3 different countries, absorbing 5 languages. Compared in the past to Sade, Jill Scott, and Brazil's Astrud Gilberto, her style is inviting and her performances are an interactive, community-building experience.

Time & Space CD and Fashion Launch presents a mélange of album collaborators: UCC Camden's funk/New Orleans style Royal Brass Band, reggae singer Lady Lee, hip hop poet Walnut, house DJ and producer/engineer DJ Paul Atkinson, and a host of dance and fashion partners. In particular, works by ecouture designer Ivy Glass weave through the entire event, culminating in a moving fashion installation, while Aftershock and Boogie Tunez break dance crews from Philly's high schools profile FOE Company's hip hop designs. Spoken word performer Lyrispect hosts, and proceeds benefit Camden's nonprofit Unity Community Center.
