Oran Etkin’s Timbalooloo, is the new home for all of Etkin’s work for children, including the music classes, CDs such as Wake Up Clarinet!, concerts, books, dvds and television programming. The name Timbalooloo comes form a 3 year-old student from Etkin’s music classes, who went home and sat his mother and baby brother down for a 20 minute music class in which he pretended to be Oran and demonstrated to his “pupils” an imaginary instrument he called the Timbalooloo. The story captures the essence of Etkin's mission: to excite children about the wonders of music and musical instruments and encourage their creative freedom and personal ingenuity.

Laura Doherty acoustically rocks your kid's world with her breezy folk-pop tunes for the whole family! The Chicago-based children’s artist delivers a highly interactive show that includes songs about living in the city, and more, as seen through a child's eyes. Her new award-winning CD "Kids in the City" pays tribute to her kinda town…Chicago, and has hit the XM radio airwaves and garnered great reviews in the press. In 2008, Doherty collaborated with Ralph Covert of Ralph's World singing on an educational project for Disney Sound label. Most recently, her music was featured on the British TV show "Dancing on Ice."
Performing locally and nationally, Doherty has played on famed Chicago stages such as the Old Town School of Folk Music and Millennium Park's Pritzker Pavillion, and last Fall, brought her upbeat concert to a packed house at Philly's World Cafe Live.

Like a scene from 'Groundhog Day,' the event repeats itself over and over. Bass and drums pound out the beat in perfect unison. KiDROCKERS® is an All Ages concert series that brings families together to experience some of the most engaging and vital artists in indie music and comedy. Artists perform original (not specifically made for children) songs in a manner that is both authentic and kid-friendly. Past artists include Tad Kubler (and members of the Hold Steady), Matthew and Ira of Nada Surf, Ra Ra Riot, Langhorne Slim, Harlem Shakes, Rogue Wave, Vivian Girls and Chairlift. The Cat's Pajamas makes very cool music for kids, bringing a musical comedy twist to high-octane kid-rock. The Cats put on more than a concert—they invite the audience from the very first note to enter a wild, wonderful world of stories, dance, puppets and props, all backed by a band making great music that just happens to be for kids. Gustafer Yellowgold concerts are a unique blend of live music and moving image. The minimally animated illustrations are accompanied by illustrator/songwriter Morgan Taylor's catchy and original story-songs for a truly different multimedia experience that is entrancing children, teens and adults alike. Gustafer is a friendly creature who came to Earth from the sun and has an unusual magnetism for making friends with some of Earth's odder creatures. His best friend is Forrest Applecrumbie, the flightless Pterodactyl. Gustafer and Forrest built a small cottage-style home on the edge of an uncharted wooded area in Minnesota. He has a pet eel named Slim (short for Slimothy) and a pet dragon named Asparagus who lives in his fireplace and loves corn on the cob. Gustafer's pals, the Mustard Slugs practice their math under the shrubbery.
