Los Straitjackets
Los Straitjackets
Jet Set, the all-new album from Los Straitjackets, is a collection of 14 carefully crafted guitar-driven songs that prove to be the most diverse and inventive of Los Straitjackets' oeuvre. Jet Set also marks the return of Danny Amis (Daddy-O Grande) to the band after recovering from a difficult battle with Multiple Myeloma. The album was recorded at The Pow Wow Fun Room studios in Los Angeles with producer and friend Janne Haavisto (of Laika And The Cosmonauts) and includes a few guest appearances by The Basic Cable Horns (from the Conan show) and Finnish actress and musician Irina Bjorklund. Jet Set delivers the high-energy rock and roll instrumental music fans have come to expect from Los Straitjackets.

With a sound that combines the classic strumming of 1960s surf music---reminiscent of Dick Dale's guitar work---with the element of punk, Los Straitjackets have carved a successful niche for themselves in the world of alternative rock. Comprised of Eddie Angel and Danny Amis on guitars, Pete Curry on bass, and Jimmy Lester on drums, the instrumental band has performed original as well as classic tunes, while always focusing on pop culture and fun. Their trademark Mexican wrestling masks, matching clothes, and custom-made matching guitars have made them one of the more visually exciting bands to see in live performance.
Southern Culture on the Skids
Southern Culture on the Skids
True to their name, North Carolina's Southern Culture on the Skids offers an affectionate parody of local white-trash trailer-park culture, matching their skewed outlook with a wild, careening brand of rock & roll. SCOTS' music is a quintessentially Southern-fried amalgam of rockabilly, boogie, country, blues, swamp pop, and chitlin circuit R&B, plus a liberal dose of California surf guitar and a hint of punk attitude.

Following an early incarnation as a relatively straightforward roots rock outfit, they morphed into a raucous, sleazy, tongue-in-cheek party band obsessed with sex and food; in fact, fried chicken became a crucial part of their live performances, whether it was used in eating contests or tossed into the audience.

On October 1, Yep Roc Records is proud to share with the world the Mondo Zombie Boogaloo, an album and tour celebrating Halloween, the most sinister day of them all. The album is a collection of new music from legendary bands The Fleshtones, Los Straitjackets, and Southern Culture On The Skids. The set includes originals and standards from each band and promise to put listeners in a spooky mood for the Halloween season. With songs such as “¡Ghostbusters!,” “Goo Goo Muck,” “Haunted Hipster,” and a collaboration by the three bands on “Que Monstruos Son” (otherwise known as “The Monster Mash” en Español), Mondo Zombie Boogaloo is sure to revive both the living and dead this Halloween. To hear The Fleshtones’ version of “Ghoulman Confidential”, go HERE , or via You Tube HERE

Mondo Zombie Boogaloo will be available on CD, digitally, and as a double LP on colored vinyl. The album’s cover features artwork by Steve Blickenstaff, famously known for his unforgettable work on The Cramps' 1984 album Bad Music for Bad People.

Presale orders for a limited number of tour bundles including t-shirts, posters, albums, and tickets for each show will be available at www.mondozombieboogaloo.com
The Fleshtones
The Fleshtones
Since the summer of 1976 the Fleshtones have been blending rock & roll with R&B, and garage with dance and serving it from town to town across the globe with a smile, a great attitude, and lots of late-night sweat. For years, they've simply called it Super Rock.

The Fleshtones are Peter Zaremba (vocals, harmonica, & organ), Keith Streng (guitar & vocals), Bill Milhizer (drums & vocals), and Ken Fox (bass & vocals). Based in Brooklyn, the quartet's origins lie just a few miles north in Queens, where in 1975 Streng and original bass player Marek Pakulski rented "The House," as it was infamously known, and found instruments down in the basement. To quote Keith: "How and why the Fleshtones started was that there was a place to do it!" Countless "Blue Whale Bashes," Lower East Side sightings, and an endless string of gigs and records later, the Fleshtones continue to record and perform with a wit, passion, and energy that few bands can top.

Remember, The Fleshtones can't change their luck, but they can change your mind! Come on in, and let's have a good time!
