Katie Barbato
Katie Barbato

Barbato penned the theme song "Sugar" which is featured in the trailer. The film stars Shenae Grimes, Corbin Bleu, Marshall Allman and Austin Williams and follows the story of a group of homeless kids as they try to survive on the streets of Venice Beach seen through the eyes of a 20 year old named, Sugar. Katie's song is featured on the soundtrack with songs by Cat Power, Hope Sandoval, and Jane's Addiction.

Katie has shared the stage with Matt Duke, Jackie Greene, Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, Citizen Cope with Meshell Ndegeocello, Sharon Little, and Melissa Ferrick. She has performed at notable venues and festivals such as Bethlehem Musikfest, TurksHead Music Festival, Block Island Music Festival, Club Passim, The House of Blues, Tin Angel, World Cafe Live, Pianos, The Bitter End, and The Rockwood Music Hall. Barbato was one of four winners of the “Revolution” contest held by The Philadelphia Songwriter's Project in 2011. She has done commercial work for Clear Channel, and has been featured on Radio 104.5 FM, WXPN 88.5FM, Boston's WERS and the NBC 10! Show.
Shayna Leigh
Born and raised in Orlando, FL, Shayna Leigh grew up in the world of commercials and community theatre. Upon finishing high school, she left home for the big city...New York (the first love of her life). After college, Shayna worked as musical theatre actress (and also sometimes as that chatty employee of Ann Taylor Loft) before deciding it was time to take her career in her own hands. Shayna began writing and recording original material- her debut album will be released SPRING 2013. Shayna hopes her listeners will connect with her music, and the story of a east coast girl living her dreams in the big city, who refuses to be defined by labels, and believes that everyone has a voice that is worthy of being heard.
Dani Mari
Dani Mari
An avid fan of Billie Holiday and Mazzy Star, Dani Mari was born to sing. Her music is fueled by personal narratives embedded in the craft of classic story telling and the emotional insight of a most unlikely "old soul". Audiences across the United States and throughout Europe have gravitated toward her beautifully haunting voice and the simplistic elegance of her lyrics which transcend our current snap shot of popular music. A frequent guest at Philadelphia's World Cafe Live and Deli Magazine's pick for one to watch as this generation's up and coming singer/songwriters, Dani Mari is set to release a wider body of work with boutique art label, Someplace Called Brooklyn.
